Job Deion1.Maintain Right Ship standards for the vessel responsible.2.Maintain the SMS manuals and documentation liaising with the HSEQ Director.3.To carry out shipboard sailing internal audits as required.4.Ride and sail with vessel to carry out shipboard Marine inspections as per company requirements.5.To carry out shipboard Marine inspections as required.6.Promotes the concepts of safety and environmental excellence, accident free operations when attending the ship for audits.7.To carry out Incident / near miss investigation as required.To review the minutes of the 8.shipboard safety committee meetings.To review and approve risk assessments as required.9.To keep abreast of changes within the industry, both inside and outside vetting that may have an impact on the ongoing approval status of vessels.10.Prepare responses after completion of PSC/Terminal inspection and submit to HSEQ Director for review for Rightship or other vetting organizations.11.Monitor Crew Matrix non conformities and provide feedback to Technical &ampamp Crew departments.12.Assist in highlighting any special requirements pertaining to RightShip and Terminals to Technical &ampamp Crew departments.13.To coordinate with and support the Technical department in cargo and commercial matters as required.14.To carry out shipboard and shore based training of officers and crew in matters pertaining to tanker operations, quality management systems and other matters as deemed appropriate time to time.15.To attend vessels time to time for purpose of carrying out shipboard inspections and / or for supervising hold cleaning/ tank cleaning, cargo operations or any other matters.16.To assist with revisions of HSEQ manuals and / or preparation of new HSEQ manuals.17.To assist with the preparation of HSEQ bulletins, safety alerts and navigation Focus bulletins.18.Port state inspection report and follow up the corrective actions if deficiency rises;19.To carry out any other tasks that may be assigned time to time.20.To deal with contingencies. Specific responsibilities for contingency situations are described in Emergency Procedure Manual21.To evaluate navigation audit performed by masters, to verify the effectiveness of the system for improvement and procedure updating.Requirement1.At least two years ' experience on Bulk Carriers as Master (Cape/Panamax/Ultramax/Log carriers or similar).2.Thorough knowledge on ISM/ISPS/MLC/RightShip procedures.3.Good command of written and spoken English &ampamp Chinese.4.Good computer skills/MS applications as needed for the job.5.Preferable previous experience as Marine Superintendent or Training Superintendent.6.Preferable undergone courses such as ISM Internal Auditor/CSO/Incident Investigation/Risk assessment etc.7.Good organization, communication and people management skills.8.Pleasant, open minded and positive attitude.
