Main tasks &ampampampamp key responsibilities ：Project engineering: preparation and review of class required engineering drawings and documents for ship shore connection retrofit Review of ship drawings for development of new concept solutions for retrofit projectsSupporting rest of the retrofit team for ship onboard inspections for new inquires and preparing inspection reportSupport Project Manager and sales teams throughout retrofit tender stage.Involvement in the retrofit concept development and project technical and commercial proposal preparation All correspondences with classification society for the approval of drawings of given projectsIncorporate Cavotec’s shore power products on all retrofit solutions. Propose modifications of Cavotec’s products when required. Collaborate with marine retrofit team in ensuring retrofit solution is practical and cost-effective during implementation, during voyage and/or at shipyard. Involvement in the discussions of retrofit installation Develop shore power retrofit engineering competencies within the organization.Site supervision during system installation, switch board modification and commissioning of the system in cases of needProcurement engineering: Review of equipment purchase technical specifications and all technical correspondences with suppliers and subcontractors Support marine retrofit team in the ion and management of equipment suppliers and service providers. This includes attending FAT of 3rd party equipments. Lead all technical discussions and review all technical proposals submitted by external stakeholders. Marine Electrical engineering Marine system integration knowledge in ship design Maritime Class rules on merchant ship design Acquainted with Marine and industrial shore connection rules &ampampampamp regulations Conversant with shore connection retrofit design and installationQualificationsBachelor's degree and above in electrical engineeringGraduate/ postgraduate qualifications in an additional Engineering field will be advantageous.At least 5 years of working experience in shipping industry At least 3 years of working experience in the engineering department of shipyards, marine retrofit organizations or shipping companiesWell-versed in IACS class regulations for merchant ship designResourceful in the ship repair marketExcellent communication skills at all levels of hierarchy Proficiency in English – both written and oral communication
