Assistant Surveyor – Stability and Tonnage-Design Support Office(助理验船师-稳性,载重)Lloyd's Register Asia, Shanghai英国劳氏船级社工作地:上海Job overviewOur Marine Operations team plays a critical role in our organization. They’re the experts who go out to survey clients ' ships, appraise designs and offer sound technical advice. They work with our clients to ensure they meet the industry standards that we help to set. We have offices all around the world, with some of our key locations in China. As a Design Support Office surveyor your role will be to perform design appraisal, assessment, evaluation and support to ships and ship systems with applicable Lloyd’s Register Rules and Regulations, National &ampamp International Codes, Standards or Conventions. Your Key Responsibilities will be: -To carry out plan appraisal of marine stability, tonnage and loadline? -Review of documentation for certification of marine applications? -To provide technical guidance and advice for Lloyd's Register surveyors and clients? -Contact with clients to discuss technical issues with regards to application of Statutory Codes and Conventions-To assess/ recommend the time/value of the work to be undertaken for an internal/external client within an agreed fee/cost structure relating to your capability with the assessment of stability, tonnage and loadline -To discuss/ present the deliverable with the internal/external client and be able to suggest alternative solutions where appropriate relating to your capability with the assessment of stability, tonnage and loadline -Assist in external technical meetings and discussions of technical problems relating to your capability with the assessment of stability, tonnage and loadline-Undertake administration as required in line with Lloyd’s Register processes and procedures. -To pursue Continuous Personal Development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness. -To assist in service delivery improvement by communicating internal/external client feedback as appropriate. -To coach other employees, as appropriate, and disseminate information to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application. -Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards. -To assist in internal/external client management as appropriate. 职位要求: What you will need-Master degree in majors of naval architecture, marine engineering or equivalent -Above years relevant working experience in an engineering discipline would be an advantage -Good command of written and oral English -Good interpersonal skills -Client focused -Self motivated and proactive -Flexible, keen to learn and develop new skillsWhat we offer in returnLloyd’s Register is a leading classification society, with a wealth of knowledge and experience - 248 years ' worth, to be precise.
